Tech Elevator is a 14-week coding and career prep bootcamp that is expanding into Cincinnati this fall, moving into the HCDC Business Center. After much success in Cleveland and Columbus, Tech Elevator is looking to extend its proven ability to upskill individuals for roles as software developers while filling a much-needed skills gap in the region.
“We expand into a market by locating in a space where we can start and grow quickly. We liked the HCDC Business Center because it fits the type of space we’re looking for and also gives us the opportunity to be around other community partners and get our name out into the market,” says Anthony Hughes, Tech Elevator Co-Founder and CEO.
With a 93% graduation rate and 90% job placement rate of its graduates, Tech Elevator’s outcomes are on par or above the highest quality national programs with like offerings in the industry. Tech Elevator alumni have been placed in over 90 companies throughout Ohio, including Chase Bank, Progressive Insurance, and CoverMyMeds, to name a few.
In 2016, Cincinnati had over 5,000 job postings for software developers while higher education institutions in the area produced less than 400 computer science and information science majors. Tech Elevator sees opportunity to continue to create a high-quality, skills-based workforce to fill the tech talent demand that continues to rise in the region.
