Ohio Congressman Steve Chabot will speak to the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) at its Central Region Conference to Cincinnati. The conference, which will be hosted by the Hamilton County Development Company, runs October 19-21. NADCO is the trade association of Certified Development companies (CDCs), which are non-profit organizations that have been certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide financing to small businesses through the SBA 504 loan program.
Chabot, who is a member of the U.S. House Small Business Committee, will address the group on Thursday, October 20 at 12:15.
“It’s a real honor to speak to the people who are on the front line of helping small businesses grow,” said Chabot. “The biggest growth in our economy always comes from small business. Given our current economic climate, it is more important than ever to help these companies stay healthy and expand.”
Certified Development companies from 25 states are expected to attend the conference. Delegates will use the conference to share learnings on how to more effectively qualify companies for SBA programs, how the outlook of the economy looks for small businesses, and updates on regulations for SBA loans.
“This conference is a chance for us to showcase how small businesses in Hamilton County continue to thrive, despite the economic realities we face today,” said HCDC President David Main. “Not only are we host, but I believe our relationship with the county is a great example of how a public-private partnership can really help small companies to grow.”
