Kids ‘R’ Kids,’ Robert Lawson Named HCDC SBA 504 Loan Project of the Year for 2016

Kids R Kids logoRobert Lawson opened the first Kids’R’Kids preschools in Mason and West Chester between 1999 and 2000. Then, in 2006, he began the construction of the first of the three additional Kids ‘R’ Kids preschools. This Maineville location opened in June 2007 and was financed by an SBA 504 loan with HCDC and First Financial Bank. In 2012, HCDC helped again with SBA Refinance loans for the Mason, West Chester, and Fairfield locations, with Wells Fargo as the third-party lender. These loans successfully closed in December, 2013.

Also in December 2013, HCDC worked with Bob Lawson for an ILP loan he used for working capital. This loan provided needed operating support to help in recovery from the economic downturn.

In 2015, HCDC and Wells Fargo Bank provided long-term financing to purchase the Liberty Township Kids ‘R’ Kids preschool property which was operating under a long-term lease.

Since 2006, HCDC has worked with Bob Lawson and Kids ‘R’ Kids. The organization employs more than 200 professional teachers and managers in the region, and provides childcare to more than 1,000 children.
