HCDC Office of Innovation + Creativity Gets to Work

HCDC Director of Innovation Services, Karla Boldery, launched Hamilton County’s new Office of Innovation + Creativity (OIC) earlier this year. She is now escorting the first two Hamilton County companies through the OIC’s pilot program where second stage companies work with National Strategic Research Team professionals on competitor business intelligence, data analytics, qualified sales leads, and sophisticated marketing support to accelerate the companies’ sales and workforce growth. These first two companies are expected to complete the program by mid-August. The OIC, which solicited referrals from the region’s entrepreneurial and business support organizations, met with more than twenty-five business prospects and is in the process of selecting eight additional companies to work with during 2018.

Additionally, HCDC hired a branding firm to assist with logo design and key messaging to communicate just what the new HCDC Office of Innovation + Creativity (OIC) is about. This branding process has now been completed, resulting in a new logo and soon-to-be-launched website.

Stay tuned for the roll out of this website with information about these companies and resources useful to second stage businesses. Also, look for forthcoming info on two soon-to-be announced OIC events including a national featured keynote address and a CEO roundtable.
