The HCDC Business Center is the one of the longest-running startup incubators in Ohio. It has been providing business coaching, educational programming, and below market rent for the startup community since 1989. One of its earlier graduate companies is now gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary on May 19, 2018.
Maverick Corporation was founded in 1993 at the HCDC Business Center. The company has carved a niche out for itself as “the high temperature glue-making experts.” It manufactures base polymer systems that service temperatures from 400-700 degrees Fahrenheit, which makes them uniquely suited for use in resins, coatings, and adhesives used in demanding aerospace environments.
“When we started, we were doing our own renovations at the business incubator and installing our own equipment,” reminisces CEO Eric Collins, who anticipates Maverick’s sales will approach $10 million in 2018.
“Maverick Corporation is a shining example of the success of Ohio’s Edison Technology Program and the Ohio Third Frontier,” says HCDC Business Center Director Pat Longo. “It’s an innovative, small business that has grown to nearly $10 million in revenue and continually makes a difference in the high temperature polymer industry in the United States!”
The HCDC Business Center congratulates Maverick Corporation on its 25 years of success and growth!
