HCDC hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, for the grand opening of its expanded and renovated CoWorks area. With approximately 75 people present, State Representative Brigid Kelly, HCDC Board Chair David Lingler, CincyTech VP of Operations and former HCDC Board Member Dorothy Air, and HCDC President & CEO David Main cut the ribbon on HCDC’s brand new coworking space.
The shared workspace now occupies 3,500 square feet in the 1775 Mentor Avenue building and includes a kitchen/lounge area, huddle/phone rooms, and a conference room complete with 65-inch Smart TV for presentations.
The key benefit of the HCDC Business Center CoWorks Program is that it is the only CoWorks Program in Cincinnati to include business/marketing coaching services. Once accepted into the program, CoWorks clients are assigned a business coach to help them develop and grow their businesses. In addition, the CoWorks Program offers clients access to conference rooms, WiFi, fax/scan/copier services, available mailboxes, and complimentary parking.
The HCDC Business Center CoWorks Program is the perfect location for early stage entrepreneurs that are in the ideation, planning, and launch stages of their innovative opportunity. Eighteen client companies are already utilizing the new CoWorks space.
Established in 1989, the HCDC Business Center is the longest operating business incubator in the Tri-State and one of the largest in Ohio. With a proven track record, the Business Center has been nationally recognized for increasing a startup’s chance for success by six times the national average through coaching, access to capital, connections, and a diverse learning environment.
