HCDC’s incubation program, the Hamilton County Business Center, was awarded a $5,000 grant from National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) for creating and supporting economic development in Southwest Ohio. On Thursday, May 1, 2014, the NADCO Selection Committee recognized HCDC for a proposed mentoring program that aims to strengthen businesses as they prepare to leave the incubator.
The grant will assist HCDC in developing an advisory board model with expert volunteers from the community to help resident businesses develop and achieve future goals. These volunteers will be able to assist the companies in addressing specific areas as they graduate from the Business Center and transition into the larger business community.
“HCDC would like to thank NADCO for investing in these types of job growth strategies,” said David K. Main, President of HCDC. “When a resident company leaves the nest, we want to be able to say that we did everything possible to ensure their continued success.”
HCDC was one of seven nationwide award recipients to receive the Economic Development Opportunity Grant Award. The grant ceremony took place at NADCO’s Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs, CO. Thank you NADCO!
