HCDC’s Larry Albice Entrepreneurship Award is given to honor individuals that are successful entrepreneurs who have also given back to the community. Larry Albice was a chairman and board member of HCDC who was instrumental in the expansion of the Business Center. Mr. Albice passed away in 1998 and was named the first recipient of this award in April of that year.
This year’s recipient was Bill Hagerty. Bill is a partner in Johnson ReSource Group, and has been with the firm since its founding in 2001. Prior to this, Bill enjoyed successful careers with two national public accounting firms, a leading national executive recruiting firm, and as a partner in a large Cincinnati-based accounting practice.
Bill is a member of both HCDC’s Ohio and Kentucky project review committees. He is present at every meeting, which for Ohio is twice a month and for Kentucky is once a month. He asks the tough questions that help HCDC bring the best SBA 504 loan projects to the SBA for approval.
HCDC recognized Bill’s dedication to helping small businesses grow and prosper with the Larry Albice Entrpreneurship Award during its Annual Meeting & Awards ceremony on January 12, 2018. Bill was unable to accept the award, so his partner at Johnson ReSource Group, Greg Johnson, accepted the award on his behalf.
